Gregory has also co-authored a book on Walsh McLean and her larger than life story, called Queen of Diamonds, ready for release in September, 2000. "I'm taking a national tour of high-end department stores and book stores to cross promote these products," says the handsome, charismatic Gregory. "I also bring along personal effects of Evalyn's - her Worth gowns, hats, letters and a film of her at her most glamorous. I'm extremely proud of this legacy and I'm trying to honor it as best as I can. She never lost her sense of wonder about the world, her compassion for others and her sense of responsibility."

 

Gregory has a website for the fragrance - www.fable-hdc.com - and is planning a men's line launch in 2003. He also foresees a second coffee table book and a film based on Evalyn's exotic life.

Ultimately though, the big question on everyone's mind is "What about that curse?" "I'm not sure that I believe in it, " he says," but when I travel with my business partner, we always take separate planes."

Those angry Hindu gods would be pleased.
